The Prelude Saver Plan

Your eggs are saved in their current condition, increasing your chances of having a healthy baby whenever you’re ready.

One Time Payment:
$7,250 +
$99 a month storage

Payment Plan:
$199 for 48 months +
$3,000 down payment

(includes 4 years paid storage)

Includes:

  • AMH Test The Anti-Mullerian Hormone (or AMH) test will help assess whether you are a candidate for IVF using your own eggs or can conceive on your own. Levels between 1.3– 3.0 are associated with increased fertility potential. But there’s no one-size-fits-all range.
  • Other Fertility Testing (AFC or BAF) Another commonly used option to detect ovarian reserve is the use of transvaginal ultrasound to determine antral follicle count (AFC), where each follicle in both ovaries is counted. An AFC is performed during the first 3-4 days of the menstrual cycle.
  • Carrier Screening Carrier screening is testing that's done to see whether you or your partner are carriers of the recessive genetic diseases that are guideline-recommended for carrier screening by leading medical societies. Some of the disorders screened for include: cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, spinal muscular atrophy, thalassemia, and Tay-Sachs disease.
  • Ovarian Stimulation Medication Follicle Stimulating Hormone and low-dose Human Gonadotropin are used to stimulate multiple egg production. GNRH antagonists are used in conjunction with medication to the risk of premature ovulation. A GnRH agonist (Lupron) is used to trigger ovulation and assists in the maturation process of the eggs prior to collection.
  • Egg Collection Procedure Egg collection, or an egg-freezing cycle, involves taking medication for 10-12 days to stimulate egg production. The collection is performed under light IV sedation at a Prelude clinic and only takes about 20 minutes to complete. Following collection, the eggs are frozen using the vitrification process.
  • Freezing/Vitrification Vitrification is an ultra-rapid freezing process that prohibits the formation of ice crystals. This process has significantly improved success rates for egg preservation.

Please note: You will not be charged at this time.

The Prelude Conception Plan

If starting a family is just a matter of time, the Conception Plan includes everything in the Saver Plan, plus embryo creation, genetic screening of your embryos, and vitrification (freezing) of embryos.

  • Freezing/Vitrification Vitrification is an ultra-rapid freezing process that prohibits the formation of ice crystals. This process has significantly improved success rates for egg preservation.
  • Egg Thawing The thawing of frozen, or vitrified, eggs is a very quick procedure. A predetermined number of frozen eggs is removed from storage and rapidly thawed using warming solutions.
  • Embryo Creation Sperm and eggs are combined and embryos are created. Only euploid (having the correct number of chromosomes) embryos are selected.
  • PGS Normal Embryo Screening Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) refers to removing one or more cells from an embryo to test for normal chromosome number. Humans are supposed to have 23 pairs of chromosomes for a total of 46. Many embryos may have extra or missing chromosomes. For example, Down syndrome is caused by an extra copy (3) of chromosome 21, referred to as trisomy 21. This can be detected by PGS. Chromosome abnormalities are also the primary reason for failed implantation in IVF cycles and for early miscarriage.
  • Embryo Vitrification Embryos are frozen through vitrification, a cryopreservation technique wherein the embryo is cooled so rapidly that no damaging ice crystals can form.
