Christine Mansfield, M.D.Medical Director
Arizona Reproductive Institute’s Medical Director, considers patient care a team effort involving advanced technology and expert care, and she is committed to providing compassionate care that is personalized for every patient. She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her obstetrics/gynecology residency at the University of Alabama Hospital System in Birmingham. She completed a three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. During her time in Texas, she was a multi-year recipient of the Patient Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Recognition and a Top Ten Doctor by Vitals.com.
Jun Liu, M.D.Reproductive Endocrinologist
Dr. Jun Liu has over twenty years of experience in human clinical embryology and research in reproductive medicine and is best known for his researches on gamete cryopreservation. Before he joined Arizona Reproductive Institute, he worked as embryology lab supervisor/embryologist at several national well-known IVF centers. He is proficient at all techniques in the in vitro fertilization laboratory, including conventional in vitro insemination, Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), testicular and epididymal sperm preparation, embryo culture, embryo transfer and assisted hatching, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation, embryo biopsy for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) /Screening (PGS), semen analysis and cryopreservation, and quality control/quality assurance programs for the laboratory.
Dr. Liu has authored and coauthored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in the field of human reproduction and cryobiology, many of them focusing on fundamental research on oocyte cryopreservation. He has developed standard operational procedures for all routines in our embryology and andrology lab and implemented electronic database to enhance effective internal communication and to improve lab QC/QA. Dr. Liu believes that delicate handling, minimal manipulation, customized treatments and stringent QC/QA practices maximize our clinical pregnancy rates.
